Located in south Minneapolis, the Midtown Greenway is a recreation trail and bicycle commuter route linking the Chain of Lakes area to the Mississippi River. Hired by Longfellow Community Council, Simonet Design guided a consultant team in the development of a conceptual landscape design and implementation strategy for the segment between Hiawatha Avenue and the Mississippi River.
Carmen Simonet Design LLC worked in collaboration with the Community Council and steering committee and gave community presentations to inform and build a shared vision on an ecological approach to the landscape design and management of the corridor.
